FCH Warranty

Keeping all First Class HALT customers safe and their cars running dependably is our number one priority. This includes well after leaving our shop, which is why we offer a warranty on all parts and labor. If you are on vacation in Florida or on a countrywide road trip in California. You are covered by our warranty! All vehicles serviced by First Class Halt come with Complimentary Roadside Assistance and trip interruption coverage. FCH Loyalty Rewards

The First Class HALT Loyalty Rewards program is our way of thanking our customers for their loyalty. We do this by offering a rewards program that our customers receive a point for every dollar they spend with us, and once you reach 500 points you receive $10 towards future service and repairs.


Honest Recommendations

Let's say your car needs a new water pump and new front brakes. In a flat rate pay setting, it would be predetermined that it takes 2.0 hours of labor to replace the water pump and an additional 2.0 hours to replace the brakes, regardless of the amount of time it actually takes. This means even if the technician completes both of these jobs in less time, they will still get paid just the same. Meanwhile, the customer ends up paying for 4.0 hours of total labor, despite the actual amount of time spent on their vehicle.

 

Naturally, this sets up two major issues. The first issue is that this creates incentive for car mechanics to rush the process, which often means cutting corners. Ultimately, this results in quality control issues and, at times, incomplete work. The second issue is that it simultaneously creates a culture of recommending work the vehicle doesn’t actually need so that the technician can create more labor hours for themselves.

 

On the other hand is commission-based pay, which is how service advisors are typically paid, in addition to their salary. Of course, commission-based pay is based on what is sold, and further creates incentive to sell parts and services that are not beneficial to the customer, but to the service advisor and repair shop at large.

 

Because of the dishonest transactions that these types of pay tend to foster, First Class HALT is proud to say we’ve chosen a different, more straightforward approach. All of our employees are paid an hourly rate. This means it would be fruitless for FCH employees to push customers into unnecessary repairs. Rather, our method only leaves reason for our technicians to give honest recommendations that would benefit customers. This also means the work we perform is never rushed, and instead gives technicians ample time to inspect each car thoroughly after repairs, preventing quality control issues and maintaining trustworthiness.

OEM Parts 

First Class Halt chooses to replace parts with the same factory quality as the vehicle was built with. When using aftermarket parts, the price is less, creating more profitability for a repair facility. This also creates dependability, performance, and quality issues that can contribute to more costly repairs. First Class HALT chooses quality by using OEM parts to ensure your vehicle is fixed right the first time.
